How are tasks verified?
When a user completes a task on your Tropee, the way points are given depends on how you set up the validation for that task.
There are three types:
- Automatic validation: Points are given to the member automatically once they complete the task.
- Media validation: After completing the task, the member needs to send a file (like a screenshot), and you'll check it to decide if they earn points.
- Text validation: After completing the task, the member needs to enter some text (like a URL), and you'll check it to decide if they earn points.
How to set up task validation
You can choose a validation method for each task you create by clicking on the Validation
tab. By default, all tasks are set with automatic validation.
Media validation
When you choose media validation, you can input some guidance for the user so they know what kind of content they need to upload.
Here’s how Tropee creators use this feature:
- To ask for a screenshot as proof
- To request UGC (User-Generated Content) from their fans
After completing the task, here’s what the user will see:
Text validation
When you choose text validation, you can input some guidance for the user so they know what kind of text they need to enter.
Here’s how Tropee creators use this feature:
- To ask for a URL as proof
- To request an invoice number
- To ask for a username

How to review your tasks
Reviewing tasks is super simple. Just head to the Reviews
section in your dashboard menu to see your task submissions.
For each task submission, you can review the media or text and decide to accept or reject the submission.
When you accept a task submission, the member who completed the task will receive an email notifying them of their awarded points.
On the other hand, if you decide to reject a task, you can give feedback to the member so they can complete the task again:
The member will receive an email that looks like this:
