Adding rewards, what’s possible?
Your fans earn points for every task they complete on Tropee. Then, they can use these points to unlock rewards or enter giveaways.
What are rewards?
As a Tropee creator, you get to choose the rewards you want to offer. Essentially, you can run two types of rewards:
First come first serve rewards
With first come, first serve, your fans can unlock the reward once they have enough points. For instance, if your reward is a free 1:1 video call with you, and it costs 300 points, all fans who accumulate 300 points can unlock and claim the reward.
Giveaways
With giveaways, your fans can purchase entries with their points. The more entries they buy, the greater their chance to win. For example, if your giveaway offers a chance to win a 1:1 video call with you, and each entry costs 10 points, anyone with at least 10 points can participate. However, those with more points can buy additional entries to increase their odds of winning.
How to set up a reward
Creating a reward is simple. Just go to your dashboard menu and click on Rewards
. Then, hit Add reward
. You'll get two options: pick from our library of 20+ reward templates or start from scratch.
How to customize a reward
Let's take a look at all the elements you can customize to create the perfect reward.
Image
Add an image or GIF to your reward to make it more visually appealing for your fans. It’s also a cool way to get people excited about what they can unlock.
Title
Titles have the power to influence clicks, so make sure they clearly describe what the reward is about. Keep it concise and impactful, such as: ‘Unlock my latest eBook for free’ or ‘Win a merch pack’.
Description
Adding a description to your reward allows you to communicate important details, any specific terms or conditions, and what makes it unique or desirable.
Reward type
You can customize your rewards and choose two reward types:
First come first serve rewards: Fans unlock rewards once they earn enough points. For example, if a 1:1 video call costs 300 points, fans with 300 points can claim it.
Giveaways: Fans buy entries with points. More entries mean higher chances to win. For instance, a giveaway to win a 1:1 video call costs 10 points per entry. Anyone with 10 points can join, but more points mean more entries and better odds.
Points
You can decide how many points fans need for each reward, depending on the reward type.
For giveaways, keep the entry requirement low, like the points from a few tasks. For example, if two tasks total 40 points, set the entry price at 40 points.
For first come, first serve, aim for a points total that equals completing 5 or 6 tasks. This encourages fans to engage more while keeping it achievable.
If you offer many rewards, you can make some harder to get by adjusting the points required.
Availability
You can choose to make your reward available to everyone who has enough points to claim it, or you can set specific tasks as mandatory. In this case, the reward is only available to those who have enough points and have completed the required tasks.
Schedule
You can choose when your reward begins and ends in the Schedule
tab of your reward.
For giveaways, the end date is required and matches the draw date. For first come, first served, you can choose not to set an end date to keep the reward ongoing, or you can select a specific end date.
Reward experience
In the reward experience
tab, you can customize the experience for members who unlock a first-come, first-served reward or win in a giveaway.
You can include questions that members need to answer to claim their reward. These questions can help gather essential data such as email addresses, delivery addresses, clothing sizes, and more.
You can also include a confirmation message and attach a file. Both options are super helpful to make some tasks on auto-pilot, for exemple: promo codes, ebooks, exclusive videos, unreleased podcasts, or Photoshop presets.
How to share a reward
To get better results, share your rewards with more people. Just go to the Share
tab to find ways to spread the word.
Every reward has its own special link that you can copy. This link takes people directly to that reward on your Tropee. It's a great way to guide your fans to the exact thing you're talking about on social media.
You can copy the link or easily share it using the Share
button.
Notify members about a new reward
When someone engages with your Tropee, they become a ‘member’ — just like joining your own club!
As the creator, you can easily email all your members whenever you add a new reward. Just pick the reward you want to share with your fans, go to the Share
tab, and click Notify now
.
Every member will get an email with your Tropee photo and name that looks like this:
Clicking this link will take them straight to your Tropee page.
The link will be highlighted for two seconds, allowing your members to easily spot and click on the new reward. It also gives them a chance to explore other rewards available on your Tropee page.
